![]() ![]() However, I have a complete network installation in the house: commercial grade router, switches, and access points. I am a integrator, and I have a customer who has TiVo, and he hates it and wants to replace the TiVo boxes with X1. This is an old thread, but I want to be certain it answers my questions, it seems somewhat uncertain. While I still have some really sold speeds, the issue I'm facing right now is some big latency spikes, this I would love to reduce.I, based on my limited understanding of MoCA, am having to run my Xfinity modem in router mode, NOT bridge mode which I would like since I want to specify my DNS settings (I run pi-hole on my network) and I don't want to go through and specify manually the DNS settings on each device that I want. The two issues that I have with this configuration is that: I've got MoCA all running throughout the house so I wanted to direct connect to my PC, which I have and am getting some really positive numbers. The primary router and Xfinity modem are downstairs on the first level, my office (work from home) is on the second level. The primary issue is that while I do have a pretty robust mesh network configured, it just doesn't allow for very low latency or for the speeds I'm needing (pay for 250, normally get 7-30 on the mesh AP's).
